Very atmospheric. Reminds me of the fire escape at clubs, separating the hypersocialising inside from the loneliness outside. The way it’s more of a timbre thing of the door being open or closed. Like in the Bjork song on Debut. Was it Venus as a boy?
For some reason your track seems very Sheffieldy for me, or at least northern (in feel rather than musical influence). I guess it’s the laconic guitar reminding me of the grittiness of BBC dramas from the 80s set in that region.

The tune isn’t mine; I was arranging a Super Furry Animals song for solo guitar, mostly for the practice, and I had my laptop turned on and recording so I could listen back to what I was doing.
So I took one of those recordings, and processed it a bit, and this started taking shape.

It makes me think of Bladerunner. The guitar notes sound like some melodic machine.
